Julie Davey
Mixed Media artwork

fter hanging up her publishing gloves, Julie began creating mixed media artwork using beads, sequins, ribbon and small pieces of jewellery for her family and friends.
As these new works created interest amongst family and friends, she decided to make more.
Two of Julie's latest works, described / shown below, will be on on display in Togs Cafe, Castlemaine from mid-April.
-
In the 'History of Aviation' garden scene, the flower stems are cut from an old map of New York and many of the flowers bear images of early flying machines (and their designers).
-
In 'Poppies', well camouflaged butterflies share the limelight with tiny pieces of amethyst and rose quartz.
Artwork can be purchased from the cafe or here on line.
